Training
My job is not to make you memorise moves. It is to help you understand grappling, so you can think, react and solve problems on your own.
A way of thinking,
and a love of the game.
Go beyond memorising techniques. By understanding the principles that connect them, you'll develop the confidence to adapt, solve problems, and make grappling your own.

How I coach
What is the CLA?
The Constraints-Led Approach (CLA) is a modern way of learning Jiu Jitsu. Instead of memorising long sequences of moves, you play games with small constraints — a limited grip, a specific goal, a position you must escape — and discover the solution yourself. It comes from ecological dynamics and the science of skill acquisition, and it's why our sessions feel less like copying and more like problem-solving.
Games, not memorising
You learn through focused games and constraints, so the right movement emerges naturally instead of being drilled by rote.
Discover, don't copy
By solving problems against real resistance, you build understanding you can actually adapt, not just a technique you can repeat.
Transfers to live rolling
Because you train under pressure from the start, what you learn holds up when someone is genuinely trying to stop you.
